Finally finished the 27 illustrations for the book “La Ballena y La Sirena de Pescadero” written by Rocio Maceda, Marine Biologist, author, playwright and friend. It was a wonderful experience and I am happy that she chose me to illustrate her story. I am hoping that she will be able to convince her funding source to allow her to make the book bilingual. At any rate I don’t think I’ll be able to see the finished book till we return. We will get our passports hand delivered by our friends Gordon and Cara who are returning to Todos Santos on Sunday night and depart for the long journey back to Monte Rio early Monday morning.
This is the first strip I’ve posted in a long while. I may have the chance to do one more before we leave but there is a lot of packing and preparation for the trip that will keep us busy till we leave, and then it will be difficult to draw and post along the way. Aldo and Me will be showing reruns for a while, hopefully some you haven’t seen, so please bear with us.
